In the summer of 2020 Cheryl Walsh carried out 20 underwater photoshoots with 12 models and multiple designers, followed in 2021 by 10 months of full-time artistic editing to bring this Tarot Deck to life. The resulting elaborate and fantastical images are colorful, inspiring, and mesmerizing.  The project is the manifestation of a journey towards personal happiness and a message of encouragement.

Every card of the Major Arcana symbolizes a step in our journey through life, not from birth through death, but a journey of self-discovery from the inception of becoming aware of ourselves to understanding and accepting our true authentic self so that we can live a content, fulfilling life and be of service to others. The artwork in Aqua Summersus Tarot Deck is a daily reminder that finding our true selves and living an authentic life leads to a life of deep meaning and beauty.

Each deck includes a 50 page companion guide digital PDF download.  The PDF includes  essays that describe the Major Arcana cards, their story, their fundamental meanings, and how they can benefit our lives through introspection.  The last card in the deck contains a QR code and website address to access the companion guide.

The models and designers involved in this project are truly exceptional creative, amazing, wonderful, beautiful, special people.  There were far more people who wanted to be involved in this project than there were opportunities. While it would have been great to work with everyone, those that were chosen had a very deep connection to their part in the tarot deck.  They had an understanding and affection for their cards and almost everyone made their own costumes.  Everyone not only showed up but gave it their all!  Underwater modeling and costuming is extremely difficult but they all made it look effortless.
